I’m pretty decent at soldering but as I prepared to install a number of Digitrax PM42s the concept of soldering 14 gauge bus and Track A/Track B wires onto the appropriate and tiny tabs of their edge connectors was more than a bit daunting. Ugh..... Fortunately while surfing for techniques and recommendations one post mentioned the Accu-Lites breakout boards and provided the website link. A couple of clicks and was my first thought was “SALVATION”. Needless to say I ordered them immediately. These are well made professional circuit boards that ease PM42 installation and facilitate future changes by eliminating soldering while still providing excellent connectivity. These boards also make the installation neat and tidy making future maintenance simple and straight forward. Finally, I liked completing the wiring and only then installing that expensive and easily-damaged, PM 42 into a solid well mounted board rather than a flimsy and hard to mount edge connector.
